MEET THE LEGEND



A soccer legend born in Ijemo, Abeokuta in present day Ogun State, South West Nigeria.



Abiodun Odejimi was popularly known as 'BONAZA' by many football fans in 70s and 80s.



He was born in December 25th 1957 under colonial era.




ABIODUN ODEJIMI ACADEMIC CAREER 


Abiodun Odejimi attended U.A.M.C ELEJA Primary School, Ijemo, Abeokuta from 1965-1974.


Egba Comprehensive High School, Asero, Abeokuta from 1975-1978.


Engineering all College Ibada from 1975-1978





FOOTBALL CAREER 

Abiodun Odejimi began his round leather career while he was in elementary school in Abeokuta.

He proceeded to Western Academicals in  1975.

He won 1979 Oyo State Challenge Cup with IICC Shooting FC of Ibadan.

Also won the 1979 National Challenge Cup with IICC Shooting FC of Ibadan.

Abiodun Odejimi was a member of Green Eagles between 1979-1982.

Odejimi was a member of IICC Shooting Stars FC to Africa CUP Winners Cup now CAF CONFEDERATION CUP campaign in 1980.

He won Ogun State Challenge Cup with with defunct Abiola Babes FC of Abeokuta 1983 and 1985 season.

 Bonaza as he is fondly called won 1985 National Challenge Cup for the second time with Abiola Super Babes  of Abeokuta while defeated Defunct BCC LIONS of Gboko via penalty shoot out.

He was a member of defunct New Nigeria Bank FC of Benin to Africa Champions Cup now Africa Champions League in 1986.

He was also part of the team that won the Old Bendel State NNB Football Club of Benin in 1986.

Abiodun Odejimi continued his round leather career off shore Nigeria where he plyed trade with Dragon De Leame FC of Port Novo in 1988.

He played for Equippe Heros FC of Cameroon in 1990.


Also he played for De Tarsan of Cameroon in 1992.


He laced his boot for Prison De Bueya FC of in 1994.


Finally, he marked his trade for Racing De Bafousan of Cameroon in 1994.

ABIODUN ODEJIMI COACHING CAREER 







HE later became the Chief coach, CBN Football Club from 2002 till 2007.


Assistant coach Gateway United FC 2008 where he won the 2008 Nigeria Professional League with the club.




ABIODUN ODEJIMI ADMINISTRATIVE CAREER 


Abiodun 'Bonaza' Odejimi was a member of Ogun State Football Association between 2000 and 2002.





Vice Chairman, Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria in 2012 (YSFON).


Board member, referees committee 2013.





He is Nigeria Football Federation Graded Match Commissioner.







Member, technical committee OGUN FA







Currently, He is the Vice President Aals/ Chairman disciplinary committee., All Stars Football Association Kuto Kuto, Abeokuta.
