The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ogun State Chapter, has joined the global sporting community in celebrating a distinguished entrepreneur, sports enthusiast, and philanthropist, Mr. Kunle Soname, on the occasion of his birthday.


Mr. Soname has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the growth and development of sports in Nigeria, particularly football. 


Through strategic investments and visionary leadership, he has contributed immensely to the elevation of Nigerian sports to international standards.


His role as Chairman of Bet9ja and owner of Remo Stars Football Club underscores his passion for nurturing talent and creating sustainable opportunities for young athletes.


Ogun SWAN Chairman, Comrade Michael Azeez-Ogunsiji in a statement in Abeokuta acknowledged Hon. Soname’s remarkable contributions to grassroots sports development, especially within Ogun State, where his initiatives have inspired hope and excellence among aspiring sportsmen and women. 


Comrade Ogunsiji noted that Hon. Soname's establishment of world-class sporting facilities and continuous support for youth engagement in sports stand as a testament to his dedication to national development.


According to the SWAN Chairman, your continuos support to the success of the association's activities in the last four years especially the SWAN Security Cup remains a turning point  in the minds of the various security agencies in the state.
