ABEOKUTA, OGUN STATE – A nationwide manhunt has been launched by the Nigerian Police Force for Mr. Victor Benjamin Fajemirokun, who is wanted for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping and brutal murder of a Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer and her child.
According to an official police bulletin, the suspect is alleged to have abducted the victims in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The incident took a more grievous turn as the victims were subsequently transported to neighbouring Osun State, where they were tragically killed.
Security agencies have described Fajemirokun as potentially dangerous and have issued a stern warning to the general public.
"The public is strongly advised not to approach the suspect if sighted," the notice reads. "Instead, anyone with credible information regarding his whereabouts is urged to immediately report to the nearest police station or contact the appropriate security emergency lines."
Authorities have assured that all information provided will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. The police are appealing to the public for cooperation to ensure the suspect is swiftly apprehended and brought to justice.
The case has sent shockwaves through the communities in both states, highlighting ongoing concerns about security and violent crime.
