The Kwara state chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed her deepest grief over the passing of Kabieesi, HRH, Oba Abdulrafiu Olaniyi Ajiboye, Oyelaran 1, the Oloro of Oro kingdom .
In this time of mourning, the Kwara PDP extended her heartfelt condolences to the family of the late monarch, Oro traditional council, the people of Irepodun LGA, Kwara State traditional council and the state government.
In a condolence message signed by the PDP State Publicity Secretary, Mr. Olusegun Olusola Adewara (Sholyments), the party mourned the loss of a monarch whom it described as a king who etched indelible marks on the sands of history, who steered Oro Kingdom towards progress and development during his reign.
"We received the news of Kabieesi's demise with profound grief and stand in solidarity with his family, the people of Irepodun LGA, and the Kwara State Traditional Council during this time of immense loss.
"Although Kabieesi has departed when his fatherly wisdom is most needed, we celebrate his remarkable services to his people and to Kwara State as a whole.
"Our Party, while offering prayers for the Royal family's strength during this trying time, calls upon all touched by the King's passing to find solace in the enduring legacy Kabiesi left behind.
"It is our prayer that almighty Allah will forgive his shortcomings and grant him a befitting place in the hereafter."
